Quality Assurance Committee /
Comité d'assurance de la qualité
The Quality Assurance Committee develops and administers a major CNO
program to assure the quality of practice of the profession and to promote
continuing competence among nurses. The College believes that continuous
improvement is a key ingredient of quality nursing.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Program has three components: practice review,
reflective practice, and the practice setting consultation program. The
QA Program, and tools developed to help meet the requirements, enables
nurses to highlight their strengths and identify areas that might benefit
from improvement. The more knowledgeable and competent nurses are, the
better the level of service they can provide to clients.
