All applicants wishing to register with the College of Nurses of Ontario must first successfully complete an approved examination as part of the registration requirements.

The Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) includes approximately 200 multiple choice questions and the Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination (CPNRE) is composed of a series of multiple choice questions designed to measure the competencies required of nurses beginning to practise.

Both exams are available in English and French.
