Jurisprudence Examination: Competencies

Both the RN/RPN Jurisprudence Examination and RN(EC) Jurisprudence Examination consist of multiple-choice questions designed to assess an applicant’s competencies in the following five areas:

1. Self-Regulation

2. Scope of Practice

3. Professional Accountability and Responsibility

4. Ethical Practice

5. Nurse-Client Relationship 


In addition to these areas, Nurse Practitioners are also expected to demonstrate the following:
