Join a committee
Participate in nursing regulation and contribute to decisions that guide nurses in providing safe and ethical care by volunteering for the College’s statutory committees.
The College has several statutory committees: Discipline, Fitness to Practise, Inquiries, Complaints and Reports, Quality Assurance, and Registration. These committees build public confidence in nursing regulation and help protect members of the public who receive nursing care.
Council will select and appoint committee members from the pool of volunteers in March 2018. The new members will start in June and serve for three years.
Committee members must be able to travel to Toronto for orientation and meetings. (Travel expenses will be covered and a daily honorarium will be paid. See our Stipend and Expense Policies for more information.) The time commitment for meetings, preparatory work, panels and hearings varies by committee.
Considering volunteering? You will receive an email from the College soon with a link to more information about committees, positions available, the expectations and time commitment for each committee, and the application form. To apply, complete and submit the form by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2017.
