New social media resource

The International Nurse Regulator Collaborative (INRC), a group of seven nursing regulators that includes CNO, has released a position statement on the use of social media by nurses. Nurses can read these recommendations to learn about respecting boundaries, acting professionally, and maintaining patient privacy (as well as your own) while blogging, sharing photos on Instagram or posting on Facebook.

Other resources

Other resources available to nurses about the use of social media include the College's social media webcast, as well as recommendations from the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) about maintaining professional boundaries online.
