Discipline Panel lifts publication ban on facility name in the Susan Muzylowsky decision
On June 8, 2016 a discipline panel revised the publication ban in the Susan Muzylowsky decision, allowing the facility where she worked as a nurse to be named. The media can now publish the name of the facility.
It is important to note a publication ban remains in effect for the names and identities of the clients referred to in the discipline hearing.
The publication and broadcasting ban, originally requested by the College at the hearing, prohibited the publishing of the name of the facility where the member worked, the identity of the clients and any information which could identify the clients. On May 19, the College asked the panel to reconsider the ban on the facility name. Please see the College’s announcement.
Public information about Susan Muzylowsky can be found on Find a Nurse. When published, the discipline decision — which can take up to six months to prepare — will be available here.
