- On March 11, the College’s annual newsletter for the public,
Here for You, was mailed with 415,000 copies of the Toronto Star. Here for You was also distributed to schools, and doctor’s offices and other health care facilities, across the province. Here for You is a four-page booklet that explains how the College protects the public interest.

- Volunteer for a CNO committee!
- Members of CNO’s statutory committees use their knowledge and experience to help protect the public. Click here to find out more about our vacancies and how you can submit an application. Deadline for applications: April 15.
- Volunteer Opportunity
- Engage with self-regulation by participating in the development of the Jurisprudence exam, which will test applicants’ knowledge of nursing standards and government legislation. Volunteers are needed to begin work in April, but applications are being accepted until July 31.

- Bill 179
- On December 15, Ontario passed Bill 179. The new Act amends 26 health-related statutes including the Nursing Act. Although the bill has passed, the changes will not take effect until regulations are amended.
