Where to Find Programs

Many Ontario community colleges offer part-time and full-time courses for applicants seeking nursing registration. Contact your school of choice for information about enrolment. You are responsible for all costs and for meeting the admission requirements of the school.

If you wish to complete your course at a school that is not on the lists of approved nursing programs in Ontario, have the school send a course description directly to the College before you enroll. A Registration Administrator will review this information to determine if the course is comparable to those offered in approved schools in Ontario.

Programs and Courses

Internationally educated nurses may be required to complete either a bridging or upgrading nursing program. These programs are designed to help you adapt and integrate effectively into Ontario's changing health care system. As well, these programs can prepare you to write the registration exam. There are also examination review courses that can help you prepare to write the national exam.

To find out about upgrading educational opportunities, contact the continuing education department of an Ontario community college.
