Outreach needs you!

In September, the College’s Outreach Program will begin seeking volunteers to join its new Sector Advisory Groups. Nurses practising in all roles and from any region of the province will be welcome to submit their name for consideration.

The Outreach Program has the following seven Advisory Groups:

Every one or two months, these groups meet with their sector’s Outreach Consultant by teleconference. Each group consists of between 10 and 15 nurse volunteers whose role is to provide the consultant with feedback about the issues in their workplaces that may impact their ability to practise according to the College’s practice standards. These teleconferences help the College stay on top of emerging trends in nurses’ practice, as well as set priorities for the College’s operational planning.

Membership in an Advisory Group provides nurses with opportunities to truly live self-regulation and promote change within their organizations. Nurses interested in participating as a volunteer in an Advisory Group can check the College’s website in September when more information will be available.
