Outreach Program

Program Details

The College interacts with members in all practice settings, including:

  • on-line learning (such as interactive learning modules, feedback surveys and tools and quizzes);
  • web-based meetings and forums;
  • telephone and website conferences;
  • a calendar of events; and
  • in-person consultations in a variety of forms (for example, workshops and individual/group facilitation).

For more information about the program, contact Lori Adler, the Outreach Program Coordinator.

Who is Outreach for?

The information and tools in the Outreach Program are aimed at all nursing audiences: RNs, RPNs, RN(EC)s and nursing students. They are designed to allow nurses to tap into a number of resources, including web-based activities, written material and large-group consultations.

Advisory groups that include nurses from all roles, categories and parts of the province have been developed for each sector. Advisory group nurses share information on trends and issues in their practice sectors that facilitate or hinder nurses' ability to practise according to College standards. These groups also allow the College to share knowledge across the practice sectors.

Highlights from the advisory groups will be featured in The Standard and on the Outreach Program web pages.

Each advisory group will be led by the Outreach Consultant for that practice sector.
