Third Edition
Introduction to the third edition
The new Third Edition of the Compendium of Standards of Practice for Nurses in Ontario is only available online; the print edition in the binder is no longer available.
The new Compendium allows nurses to access, download and print up-to-date College practice standards and guidelines 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at no cost.
The Third Edition contains less content and is more focused on the needs of practising nurses. It is divided into four sections:
- Introduction
- Practice Standards
- Practice Guidelines
- Legislation and Regulation
With fewer fact sheets and reference documents, nurses can find practice documents more quickly and easily.
Changes to the Compendium
The College has discontinued two practice guidelines previously found in the Compendium. Click here for more information.
