New policy for temporary registration

A new policy approved by the College’s Registration Committee recognizes prior work experience when assessing applications for Temporary Class registration.

If an applicant has prior nursing work experience, the Registration Committee may approve the applicant to practice alone, meaning that they can perform controlled acts when direct or indirect supervision is immediately available to them.

This policy only applies to Temporary Class applicants with offers of employment from a non-approved facility, such as a nursing agency, camp or retirement home.

For information on changes to the Temporary Class registration process, watch for the Summer issue of Quality Practice on this website in July.
