FeaturesYour New CouncilMeet the nurses and public members that make up Council, the College’s governing body. Council plays a leadership role in influencing the practice of the more than 140,000 nurses in Ontario. The Standard of CareSheryl McDiarmid, RN, an advanced practice nurse at The Ottawa Hospital, helped develop Canada’s first outpatient blood and marrow transplant program. The satisfaction rate of the program’s clients and their families is overwhelmingly positive. Enhancing OutreachSue Bailey, RN, a psychogeriatric resource consultant at Providence Health Care in Toronto, presented at the College’s May teleconference on long-term care.
