Canadian Practical Nurse Registration Examination[français] FeesPlease complete and return Examination Application (E-1 Form) with a payment of $236.25 by the deadline indicated below. For Ontario graduates writing for the first time, please submit $285.32 ($236.25 + $49.07) with your A2/E1 application form.
Examination Dates & Deadlines
The examinations will be conducted on each of the dates above at the centres indicated by an "X" below. When submitting your application, please provide a first and second choice of writing centres. Applicants will be entered into a writing centre on a first come first served basis. Requests for transfer from one writing centre to another will be considered if received in writing by the Deadline to Apply before the date of the examination. Requests for writing the examination in another province should be submitted in writing together with your application by the Deadline to Apply date of the examination. Ontario Examination Centres
You cannot apply for another examination before receiving your results from a previous examination. Due to time constraints unsuccessful candidates writing at one session may not be able to rewrite at the next session. Special AccommodationRequests for Special Accommodations must be submitted in writing together with your application by the Deadline to Apply date of the examination. Your written request should indicate the nature of the accommodations you require. The College recommends that you provide supporting documentation which includes a diagnosis in the case of a mental health or physical condition and a psycho-educational assessment in the case of a learning disability. The supporting documentation must also be received by the Deadline to Apply date of the examination. Requests and supporting documentation received by the College after the Deadline to Apply date of the examination may be denied due to third party deadlines. Identification Cards / Photo IdentificationYou will receive an identification card that will admit you to the examination room. If you have not received this card two weeks before the date of the examination you selected, please notify the Customer Service Call Centre at the College of Nurses of Ontario. Candidates with a mailing address outside of North America will not be mailed their identification card. The card will be made available for pick up at the writing centre unless otherwise specified. You must bring your identification card and another piece of identification that includes both your picture and signature for admission to the examination. Acceptable forms of identification are: valid passport, driver's license, age of majority card, Canadian Permanent Residence card, Canadian citizenship card, Ontario Health card (with photo), or student identification card. If you do not have such documents, a recent photograph bearing your notarized signature will be accepted. ResultsExamination results will be mailed under the name and to the permanent address you most recently provided to the College of Nurses of Ontario. Results are not released over the telephone. Examination results will be mailed within 6 weeks following the examination. Name / Address ChangesNotify the College of Nurses of Ontario of any change of address as soon as possible to make sure you receive your ID card and examination result. Address changes may be made in writing or by phone. All requests for a change of name must be submitted in writing and be accompanied by a copy of the legal document, such as a marriage certificate. RefundsFull refund will be issued only when written notice is received before or on the Deadline to Withdraw/Reschedule without Penalty date prior to the examination date. A 50% refund will be issued if written notice is received before or on the seventh day prior to the examination date and after the Deadline to Withdraw/Reschedule without Penalty date. Transfer requests from one exam to another received after the Deadline to Withdraw/Reschedule without Penalty date will be processed as a refund unless the remaining outstanding fees are paid at the time the transfer request is made. A refund cheque will be mailed to you within 6 weeks of receiving your request to withdraw from an examination. No refund will be issued if notice is received less than seven days prior to the examination date.
