Acupuncture Survey

Do you perform acupuncture?

If so, the College would like to hear from you

To better understand the practice of acupuncture in nursing, the College is seeking information on how nurses use any form of acupuncture—either alone or in conjunction with other treatments. The survey will help the College to support nursing practice and update its resources.

On December 20, 2006, the Traditional Chinese Medicine Act became law in Ontario. This Act regulates the practice of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), including the performance of acupuncture.

The Act will ensure that members of the public who choose acupuncture and other TCM treatments will receive safe, effective and ethical care from practitioners with recognized training and skills.

The legislation creates the College of Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioners and Acupuncturists of Ontario. The performance of acupuncture is restricted to members of this new college and to members of specified regulated health professions, including nurses.

Please submit your survey responses by May 30, 2007. Your responses are confidential and anonymous. Thank you for completing this survey.
