Comment on changes: RN prescribing

The College is working on the standards that will guide nursing practice after RNs gain authority to prescribe medication. As our role is to protect the public, we are accountable for ensuring there is appropriate regulatory oversight so RN prescribing will be safe for the people of Ontario, while also improving their access to medications.

To help us do this, we are asking for your feedback on the standards of practice and accountabilities for RNs who will prescribe, as well as for all nurses when dispensing medication. We also welcome comments from other health care professionals, employers and members of the public.
