Annual Membership Renewal opens today!

Annual Membership Renewal for 2021 is now open. By renewing your membership with CNO every year, you can continue practicing as a nurse in Ontario.

You can renew your membership and pay your fee online by logging into Maintain Your Membership.

During this unprecedented time in health care, membership fees will not be increased.

Membership fees are put toward resources that help to uphold the strong reputation of the nursing profession and ensure the protection of patients in Ontario. Your membership fee works to:

  • develop resources and answer questions to help nurses understand and apply the practice standards to their own nursing practice

  • address concerns about the conduct and competencies of nurses to ensure the public can continue to trust nurses as their health care providers

  • create new programs that improve nursing regulation in Ontario, such as the Nurses’ Health Program, and a new approach to Quality Assurance

  • develop future scope of practice changes with the government for RNs, RPNs, and NPs to improve Ontarians’ access to care

Paying your fees securely and safely online

We understand that you may feel uneasy providing your payment information online due to the recent cyber security incident at CNO. While our systems have been fully restored and we have taken additional steps to further protect our technology infrastructure, we can assure you that your financial information is not processed or stored within our own systems. When you pay your membership fees, the transaction is securely handled by a third-party vendor. CNO does not have access to and does not retain or share your credit card details or social insurance number.

For more information about renewal, such as key deadlines and how much the fee is, read our renewal FAQs.
