What you can do on Maintain Your Membership

Maintain Your Membership (sometimes referred to as MYM) is CNO's online portal for applicants and registrants. It allows you to do the following things:

  • apply to become registered with CNO (visit our page on Using CNO's Application Portal for details)
  • pay fees and complete your annual renewal (during the renewal period)
  • access your receipts for fees paid through the portal
  • update your contact information
  • view and update your employment information
  • consent to releasing your home mailing address and email address to certain outside parties
  • choose your preferred language of communication with CNO
  • report a nursing registration in another jurisdiction
  • report a licence or registration in another profession in any jurisdiction
  • report hospital privileges (NPs only)
  • receive secure messages from CNO
  • request a Verification of Registration for another regulatory board (registrants only)
  • access other services such as resigning your registration, self-reporting and more

Creating your account

When you create an account on MYM, you will need to provide an email address. There are requirements for this address:

  • it must be personal to you (it cannot be a shared account)
  • use only one email address per account (do not create a new account if you have ever created one before), and if you have ever applied to CNO or been registered with CNO before, use the same email address you used at that time
  • it must be an email account you check regularly
  • you must use this address for other CNO-related activities, such as applying for Education Credential Assessment or booking an examination with a third party
  • CNO does not recommend using any address you may lose access to in the future, such as your work address
  • if you are a graduating from an Ontario nursing program, use the email address provided by your school (you can change this to another address later, if you will be losing access to your school address)

You are responsible for updating your email address in MYM so you don't miss important communications from CNO. We recommend using an email address you will continue to have access to in the future (for example, if you change your workplace or no longer have access to your school account).
