CNO launches mental health resources hub for nurses
The College of Nurses of Ontario is pleased to announce the launch of a new hub of mental health resources for nurses. You can find this hub at cno.org/mentalhealth, and its accompanying video on YouTube.
Launched July 24 to coincide with International Self-Care Day, this hub includes many valuable resources, including contact details for an Ontario-wide crisis line, CNO-specific resources, resources tailored to those working in the health space and much more. The accompanying video outlines why it’s important that nurses have the self-awareness to understand their limits and when to seek support.
Mental health is important. We recognize the challenges that nurses face every day in their work, and we acknowledge that nurses’ mental health can impact the quality of care they provide to their patients and their desire to remain in the profession.
We plan to build out the number of resources available on this page in the months ahead, and to share them widely so that nurses can get help if they need it.
If you are an Ontario nurse struggling with your mental health, we encourage you to check out these resources. And please share them with a colleague who may need them too.
