Following a hearing, a panel of the Discipline Committee of the College of Nurses (the “Panel”) made findings of professional misconduct against the Member. The Panel reconvened to hear submissions on the appropriate penalty to be ordered.
Discipline Committee’s Order
The Panel made an order that included the following:
- an oral reprimand;
- a 6-month suspension;
- terms, conditions and limitations, including:
- attending a minimum of 2 meetings with a Regulatory Expert; and
- employer notification for 18 months.
The Panel also ordered the Member to pay the College $2,880.00 within 6 months, representing a portion of its legal costs to prosecute this matter.
